Microsoft promises web browser will offer "faster, more responsive browsing"

Internet Explorer 11 developer preview launches

The Internet Explorer 11 developer preview is now available for Windows 7 users to download.

Microsoft has promised the web browser will offer "faster, more responsive browsing", improved performance, faster page load times, the best web experience across Windows devices and screen sizes, new standard support for next-generation sites and revised F12 developer tools.

Internet Explorer 11 (or IE11) lets developers build content that will eventually be available to over 600 million Windows users, says Microsoft.

An update will also be given to modern.IE, including a new cross-browser website screenshot service and new virtual machine images.

The IEBlog also states that Internet Explorer 11 will have "leading JavaScript performance", hardware-accelerated 3D web graphics, professional-quality video experiences on the web, new F12 developer tools that will "make building sites easier", plus support for more HTML5 and CSS properties and improvements to the existing IE11 built-in text editor.
