Tech Data offers promotions to resellers buying Microsoft Cloud services

Distributor Tech Data is aiming to help Microsoft partners to accelerate their time-to-market for cloud solutions by offering two promotions to drive service revenues.

Resellers that buy Microsoft Cloud services within the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) programme before the end of December will qualify for the equivalent of one month for free, subject to terms and conditions.

They can either spend the full value of the contract on cloud training, or take 80 per cent of the contract value and split it in any way they wish between training and a sales credit.

As well as this, Tech Data is helping partners to drive customer migrations to Office 365 by offering BitTitan MigrationWiz mailbox and DeploymentPro licenses of up to 50 seats to Microsoft partners free of charge.

The offer is applicable to the reseller’s first migration project during the offer period.

“Tech Data is committed to helping resellers accelerate their cloud business and these offers will encourage and incentivise them to engage on CSP and migrate customers to Office 365 and other cloud platforms. We have been leading the way with CSP and we want to encourage more Microsoft partners to come forward and engage with us on the programme,” said Reza Honarmand, vice president, Software and Cloud, Europe, at Tech Data.

“Tech Data is the exclusive distributor for BitTitan in Europe and the free licenses offer will enable partners to demonstrate just how effective the MigrationWiz and DeploymentPro tools are in migrating Microsoft apps quickly and accurately and give them further confidence and encouragement to move more customers to cloud platforms.”

Both offers are available on orders placed up to December 31st 2015. The BitTitan offer is open to all Microsoft Cloud Transacting Partners with a Microsoft Partner Network ID. The free licenses issued will expire 90 days from receipt.

The distributor has announced a number of new appointments over the past four months, including Eddie Fogg as Apple category manager, Hannah Webb as marketing manager, James Turner as Android business development manager, and Mike Leary as HP business development executive.

As well as this, Tech Data’s enterprise arm Azlan appointed Phil King as the company’s new technology and services director.
